Austenitic Stainless Steels
This type of grades covers the biggest part of Stainless Steel grades. What defines this grades is a chromnium percentaje over 15% They are resistant to different types of corrosion caused by chemical influences. One specific type of Austenitic Stainless Steel grades are the Heatresistant stainless steel grades which maintain their mechanical properties when exposed to elevated temperatures.
Duplex-Superduplex
Austenitic-ferritic stainless steels(duplex steels) are characterised by comparatively lower presence of nickel compared to standard austenitic grades. Their main feature are the mechanical qualities, particularly their high stress corrosion cracking resistance. They are especially suitable for off shore applications and in the chemical industry.
